Each year during the holiday season, our thoughts turn to how we can help those less fortunate than us. The sad truth about the world that we live in is that many people go without, not just at the holidays, but all year-round.
While we do not confine our charitable giving to the holidays, we do make an extra special effort to reach out because, more than any other time of the year, this is when people need our support the most.
People and families in need aren’t in their circumstances just for one day. But, with our hope, kindness, and generosity, they might be able to see their way through. It feels really good to be a part of something so positive for so many.
Full of Grace Community in Palm Springs
At Fusion Workplaces, we work with a charitable organization called Full of Grace Community. They are youth and young adult Catholic group that is dedicated to spiritual growth and putting their faith into action. One of the ways that they do this is by feeding those less fortunate at Sunrise Park in Palm Springs.
Every Saturday, the people of Full of Grace Community gather to prepare food for the multitudes of people who gather in Sunrise Park, like clockwork, each week. Some are homeless; some are just hungry. All are welcome, and all are nourished. Without the love and charity of the Full of Grace Community, the world would be a darker place.
Giving Generously and Selflessly Helps Communities Thrive
The act of giving or being of service has many benefits, both practical and emotional. Helping others is a feel-good activity, one that you can be proud of and relish in the warm feelings it brings.
Many businesses engage in charitable giving, either within the community or to an outside cause that is close to their hearts. Participating in charity is a positive thing to do—not just for the people it helps, and not only for your own good feelings—it shows that you are connected to the world around you and that you care.
When local businesses contribute to charities, it does not go unnoticed. Your neighbors, fellow business owners, and anybody who is connected to the cause recognizes your contribution, raising the awareness of your business to new and old customers alike.
There Are Many Ways to Give
If you are a new business and you don’t think you have the funds to spare, think about volunteering your time to a local cause. At this time of the year, especially, there is much work to be done. Open your heart and give generously of your time. The rewards are innumerable.
Now and throughout December, we will be collecting and accepting donations for Full of Grace. If you live in Palm Desert, or anywhere in the Coachella Valley, and would like to contribute, drop by Fusion Workplaces anytime.
